Wadsworth, OH- Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Renacci has a warning for voters; “Don’t let Mike DeWine fool you. Last year DeWine cheered on anti-police protests, calling them ‘very appropriate’, as Ohio burned and murders soared. Now that it’s an election year, he’s suddenly throwing money at police to try to hide his record,” Renacci said.

Ohio saw its homicide rate increase  by 40% since 2019 and is now higher than it’s been in more than three decades. Columbus alone reported a record number of homicides in 2020 and is on track to break that record in 2021.

“Ohio needs a Governor who will  actually stand with law enforcement every single day, not one who just pretends to during an election year.”
