In Another Big Blow to Mike DeWine, Clermont County GOP Endorses Jim Renacci for Governor

Batavia, OH—In the wake of last week’s national news detailing how pro-Trump candidate Jim Renacci is leading establishment incumbent Mike DeWine in their Primary matchup, DeWine got more bad news last night when the Clermont County GOP voted overwhelmingly to endorse Renacci for Governor.  In total, Jim Renacci received 77 votes, compared to just 22 for DeWine—with 7 members voting not to endorse.

“After three disastrous years under Mike DeWine, defined by everything from lockdowns and mandates to corruption and CRT, it’s clear that Republicans across Ohio are fired up for change and the pro-Trump, conservative leadership they know I’ll deliver as Governor,” Jim Renacci said today.
