LATEST INDEPENDENT POLL: RENACCI DEFEATING DEWINE BY DOUBLE DIGITS

03/29/22

Wadsworth, OH—In yet another clear sign that Jim Renacci has the momentum in the GOP gubernatorial Primary, the latest independent poll—just released, shows Jim Renacci with a double-digit lead over Governor Mike DeWine.

The independent Harris poll has Jim Renacci taking 46% of the vote, with Mike DeWine in a distant second at 30%.  Joe Blystone polled at 20% and Ron Hood garnered 4% in the survey.

According to the pollsters, the survey sample size was 1,342 GOP Primary voters, with a margin of error of +/- 1%.   The survey results come in the wake of another major boost for Renacci over the weekend, when the Cuyahoga County Republican Party voted to endorse Renacci by a wide 123-73 margin over DeWine.

“Between Mike DeWine putting Critical Race Theory backers on the state school board, his mandates that shuttered our economy and masked our kids, and his abysmal embrace of open borders on immigration—its’ clear why he’s a dream come true for Joe Biden and the far left. But he’s a nightmare for Ohio families, and now he’s paying the price. As Governor, I’ll ban CRT and mask mandates, give parents their rightful control of their children’s education, end Ohio’s job-killing tax policies and red tape—and deliver the accountable conservative leadership we need and deserve,” Jim Renacci said.
