Renacci Livid Over “Satan Club” in Lebanon Grade School

“This would not happen under my watch.”

Wadsworth, OH- Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Renacci is siding with parents outraged over a Satanic Temple after-school program at Donovan Elementary School in Lebanon. Flyers announcing the “Satan Club” says all children in first through fifth grade are welcome to meet after school in the Donovan School cafeteria as an alternative to the Christian-based “Good News Club.”

Renacci calls it outrageous saying, “This is another example of the ‘woke’ mentality that is destroying our education system. The Satan Club should have no access to our children, let alone hold meetings in our schools.  Parents have it hard enough trying to keep their children safe from the nefarious forces on the internet. Schools need to be safe places to learn, without outside forces pushing an agenda.”

Renacci says he will fight for traditional STEM education in Ohio schools and urges educators to heed the prophetic words of Abraham Lincoln: “The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.”
