Renacci Stands With General Assembly in Defending Second Amendment

Wadsworth, OH - Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Renacci announced his support for two firearms bills currently making their way through the Ohio General Assembly. House Bill 99 sets standards for those carrying firearms in school zones, improving the security of our children in the classroom. House Bill 227 establishes constitutional carry in Ohio. Renacci released the following statement on the proposed legislation:

 “I am a fierce advocate of the Second Amendment because I recognize that our right to bear arms is vital to maintaining our other rights. I applaud the Ohio General Assembly for their bold legislative proposals establishing constitutional carry and equipping educators to defend our students. Legislators are leading where our gun-hating Governor has failed. These are good bills and deserve the Governor’s support. I can assure you, if I were Governor, these bills would be signed the moment they hit my desk.”
