Renacci Urges a Castle Provision be AddedTo Bill

I fully support the Ohio Law and Order Act moving through the legislature, but it's only a first step.

 

Ohio's businesses, police officers, and families need protection from violent left-wing protests like the one that shattered our state last year.  Mike DeWine called these violent protests 'understandable and appropriate' as protestors destroyed businesses and threatened innocent employees.   Republicans in the legislature want to protect Ohioans with the Law and Order act. But it's not enough.

 

I am urging legislators to immediately add a 'castle doctrine' provision to the Law and Order bill so that families and small business owners can defend themselves, their employees, and their property against rioters.   While DeWine defends the protesters, I will fight for the hardworking Ohioans and their right to defend themselves and their businesses."
