DeWine's new web ad makes a lot of misleading claims, so our team fixed it for him.
FACT: DeWine is hurting Ohio taxpayers.
DeWine's ad claims he put money back into working Ohioans' pockets. In reality, DeWine has done nothing to protect Ohioans from skyrocketing property taxes and even raised the gas tax to bilk Ohioans' at the pump. Even now, in the middle of Joe Biden's energy crisis, DeWine is fighting attempts to lower his gas tax and provide much-needed tax relief.
FACT: Ohio has one of the worst recoveries in the nation under DeWine.
DeWine's ad claims his leadership has led to a "faster recovery" in Ohio. In reality, Ohio still hasn't recovered 200,000 jobs of the more than 700,000 jobs that he killed with his lockdowns. Meanwhile, while other states led by Republican governors are recovering from the pandemic at an impressive rate, Ohio continues to lag behind and ranks in the "bottom half."
FACT: Ohio is the worst state in the region and one of the worst in the country to open a new business.
DeWine's ad claims he has turned Ohio into a leading location for new business. In reality, according to a report from the Tax Foundation, Ohio ranks as the 39th worst state in the U.S. to open a new business and ranks severely worse than all of our neighbors. Moreover, Ohio ranked 9th in the U.S. last year for overall outbound movers. People are leaving Ohio for other states in droves under Mike DeWine.
FACT: DeWine voted for amnesty and has done little to secure the border.
DeWine's ad claims he is a champion for border security. In reality, DeWine is a RINO who voted to legalize millions of illegal immigrants while he was in the Senate and has done little to combat illegal immigration in Ohio. Meanwhile, overdoses from border-smuggled fentanyl have tragically surged under Mike DeWine's leadership.
